SLEEP NUMBER BED

Select Comfort

Although I love my Sleep Number bed by Select Comfort, I doubt I’d ever buy another one.

Pro’s: I get a decent night’s sleep and have less back pain than I had on a regular mattress.

Con’s

1. My wife’s half of the bed leaks air and has to be pumped up every night.

2. Because of this unevenness between our sides, the top sponge mattress covering is slit down the middle, head to toe.

We can’t cuddle in bed in the middle - I either roll down into her deflated valley or she has to try to roll up to my high hill.

3. THE WORST PROBLEM of all (and this is a major design flaw - one that is sensitive to express) - this bed’s plastic undercarriage support slats squeak like CRAZY

 - when either of us roll over or get up for a pee

 - especially when we try to be intimate as a couple – the noise can be heard from the other side of the house and would wake up the kids (no exaggeration) – PLUS this squeaking is so distracting that it’s not possible to stay focused – there I said it!  For the record we are intimate as a couple, but never on this bed.

The repair options are expensive and we think it would be wiser to put this money towards a quieter, more sturdy bed.

QUESTION?  What does one expect from a bed?

2 Things…

A. A comfortable experience where you can get a good nights sleep.

B. A love nest where a husband and wife can romantically connect in privacy to protect and keep their marriage strong.

Select comfort scores 50% on point A (half the bed comfortably stays inflated) and 0% on point B (this squeaking machine is a couples nightmare).

I hope this helps!
